One of the Common Toxic Gases--Hydrogen Sulfide
Posted Date:2022/10/26
Hydrogen sulfide is rarely used in industrial production, and the contacted hydrogen sulfide is generally the product of certain chemical reactions and natural decomposition of proteins, or exists in the form of impurities. Hydrogen sulfide mainly exists in sewage treatment, papermaking, petroleum processing, fertilizer manufacturing, chemical fiber manufacturing and other industries, as well as in pickle ponds, biogas digesters, cellars or dredging sewers, sewers, tunnels and some chemical production processes. gas is produced. In rural areas, hydrogen sulfide poisoning is mainly seen in the refueling of biogas digesters and the scouring of manure ponds.

Emergency measures:
Treatment principles
(1) Quickly leave the scene, inhale oxygen, keep quiet, and rest in bed. Close observation, pay attention to changes in the condition.
(2) The principle of rescue and treatment is mainly symptomatic treatment and supportive therapy, actively preventing cerebral edema and pulmonary edema, and using adrenocortical hormones in an early, sufficient and short course. For moderate and severe poisoning, hyperbaric oxygen therapy should be arranged as soon as possible.
(3) Immediately perform cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation for those with sudden respiratory and cardiac arrest. After the breathing and heartbeat have recovered, hyperbaric oxygen therapy should be given as soon as possible for those with conditions, and active symptomatic and supportive treatment should be given.
