The number of SDS projects (16 SDS) and the category of projects are basically the same in both countries.
▪ Different requirements for trade Confidential information (CBI)
In Japan, substances with certain special hazards (substances with respiratory sensitization, carcinogenesis, etc.) cannot hide their names and other information. China is different. Under Chinese regulations, you can hide information about these substances, but the hazards must be disclosed.
▪ Some of the relevant regulations in the SDS are different
The occupational exposure limits of Part 8 differ between Japan and China, and then Part 15 some have different regulations on the healthy environment category.

▪ Label content is different
On the basis of the requirements of GHS, the label content in Japan has also made some detailed provisions, such as: the label must add the requirements of the fire law.
▪ Different requirements for small labels (simple labels)
Some products take into account the limitations of the size of their products, such as ampoules, the label will be small, and there will be corresponding requirements different from ordinary labels in the preparation of the label. China has relevant regulations, while Japan has no relevant regulations for the time being (but you can also refer to the United Nations requirements for small labels).

China: At present, China's GHS-related standards have not changed, but the Standardization Administration has issued new regulations on GHS, which have not been implemented yet. The standard number is: GB 30000.1-201x General Code of Practice for the Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (replaces GB 13690), GB 30000.30-201x, as amended by the 7th Revision of the United Nations GHS. Some things will change after the new standard is enforced, which is expected in 6 months, so stay tuned.
Japan: Japan also has a new standard, expected to come into force in May 2022, JIS Z 7252:2019 (classification), JIS Z 7253:2019 (SDS and labeling), based on the sixth revision of the United Nations GHS.
