The new Korean GHS regulation "고용노동부 공고 제 2020-247 호" H and P codes are explained in detail

On June 8, 2020, the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL 2020-247) issued a revised draft of the GHS Classification, Labeling and SDS Guidelines for comment until June 29, 2020. This revision covers MSDS, CBI(Trade secrets), concentration limits, and GHS classification. Today, I will mainly talk about the classification changes of MSDS and some requirements of MSDS.
Old standard:고용노동부 고시 제2016-19호
New standard:고용노동부 공고 제2020 - 247호
Effective date of the new standard:“제1조(시행일) 이 고시는 2021년 1월 16일부터 시행한다.”(January 16, 2021)，reference version: UN GHS version 6 and above.

Note: The new standard has added a transport icon in addition to the GHS icon in all categories. According to the modification of the previous GHS classification standard, "flammable gas" has added category 3, and its H and P codes have been increased accordingly. In addition, the code such as "preventive measures" and "incident response" has also been adjusted and modified.
